Question: Weight Gainer for building muscle and losing body fat...

Hey I was wondering if it was possible to lose fat while trying to build muscle?

At the moment I'm using a weight gainer (protein: 31g, fat: 5.6g, carbs: 32.7g, cal: 307) and I use this two to three times daily on a high protein diet.

And I am also taking fat loss pills (Ripped Freak) to help lose fat on my stomach and chest area.

I do weight lifting 4 days a week for an hour, and a 30 minute cardio 3 days a week. Would this work? Or should I try taking out the weight gainer and changing to a whey protein or other?

Answer: "Hey I was wondering if it was possible to lose fat while trying to build muscle?"

Most definitely!

"At the moment I'm using a weight gainer (protein: 31g, fat: 5.6g, carbs: 32.7g, cal: 307) and I use this two to three times daily on a high protein diet."

Most weight gainers are LOADED with sugar, or high fructose corn syrup. If the carbs in your weight gainer shakes are mostly coming from sugar or high fructose syrup, you may be better off with just regular whey protein.

If your nutrition is right, and you are executing your weight training properly, you should see progress.

You're working out 7 days a week, but you really don't need to be. Give yourself a day or two off per week.
